Longitudinal Evaluation and Appraisal
Vector Research developed longitudinal case study profiles of planning applications – engaging with all parties involved or affected by a planning application involving multiple consents such as Conservation Area consent or Listed Building consent. This helped to identify the constriction points in the process, and the “panel” of applicants, agents, conservation agencies and other stakeholders were then later engaged in an appraisal of the potential for an integrated system of planning controls.
Vector has a track record in evaluation, based upon extensive experience in regeneration, employment and skills, and enterprise provision. Many of our projects often use the detailed case study approach to identify the strengths and weaknesses of intervention projects, and wider agency provision. Examples have included tracking of support services in new enterprise; regeneration initiatives relating to skills and employment; housing; lifelong learning; and transport.
